What really, really bothers me about Oreimo / 俺の妹がこんなに可愛いわけがない ?

The recent infamous anime series based on light novel adaptation, My Little Sister Can't be This Cute have received lots of flak for much unneeded fan service scene which is highly disturbing (incestuous)in episode 4. Yuck stuff absolutely.

However this is not as bothering to me as this one aspect: The main female lead is a superhuman, something that will make pro-eugenic people dancing in giddiness. Nazi little sister? I can't really watch without this bothering me every second. Don't think it will matters how she feels or do, she is almost flawless superhuman. Her brother is almost a non-entity in contrast to her which according to my friend, highly unusual and jumping the shark. Another nail on the coffin.

Ah well, this is only so much I can take to be honest. Dropping this anime like a hot shit. It is a shame, I kinda take a liking for Kuroneko, the gloomy anime fan.

New season lineup, 2011 Winter

Here we go again! I am intrigued by Lovecraftian anime series the most. Iron Vendetta is another anime I looking forward to watch, so is Mirai Nikki and Kara no Kyokai Epilogue.

Looks fun, as always.

I 'm back

Hmmmm....

After 1 month of hiatus for mourning over Kon Sensei, I decided to come back to this old blog of mine. Will be writing something soon.

I guess this entry is kinda like my own therapy.

Satoshi Kon last testament, translated.

I am too sad to write anything much here now, but this is full translation of Satoshi Kon's last testament for the world before his untimely passing on 25th August 2010.

Here is the full translation.

Rest in peace, Kon-Sensei. Sic transit gloriam mundi = Latin's phrase for "there goes the world's glory"

Satoshi Kon, director of Paprika passed away?!

This news is 2 hours old when this entry was made but multiple reports suggested that highly talented director of Paprika, Perfect Blue and Millennium Actress passed away suddenly this morning. If this is true, then it is a great loss to anime industry and fans alike.

I mourned for Mr Kon, as I do enjoy his works very much. Sigh.

Autumn 2010 Anime Lineups!

Ah, it is the time of the year again.

My prediction of popular series this time around will be:

1. Index S2
2. My Sister Can't be This Cute
3. Iron Man
4. Star Driver
5. Mirai Nikki

Remains to be seen if I am correct or not. I will watch Iron Man, Star Driver and Mirai Nikki, I do have some expectations from Studio Bone's Star Driver.

Cheers.
